We are pleased to inform you that as of 24 January 2025, TÜV Thüringen Polska’s Personnel Certification Body has become the first in Poland to obtain accreditation for:
- Specialists in Bolted Connections

TÜV Thüringen Polska Sp. z o.o. conducts the certification of personnel in the field of flanged connections in accordance with the standard:
PN-EN 1591-4:2014-02/Ap1:2023-08 / EN 1591-4:2013
Flanges and their joints – Part 4: Qualification of personnel competence in the assembly of bolted connections for critical service pressurised systems.
Basic Scope – Certification Categories
- Category I – Bolted Joint Assembler
- Category II – Supervising Engineer
Verification of Competence
Verification of competence is required for personnel who:
- Work on the construction of new pipelines or the operation of existing pipelines, transmission lines, tanks, distillation columns, etc., and are involved in the assembly, disassembly, or supervision of bolted joints in systems under pressure during operation.
- Work for companies executing contracts, including in the oil and gas sector, both domestically and internationally.
- Wish to acquire new or expand their knowledge and skills in bolted connections, where a faulty joint could pose a risk to human health, life, or the environment.
Benefits of Certification
Certification helps to eliminate the risk of non-compliance with the requirements of employers or contractors regarding verified competencies.
These competencies are confirmed by an independent third party in accordance with the currently applicable standards.

24 January 2025 – TÜV Thüringen Polska’s Personnel Certification Body became the first in Poland to obtain PCA accreditation in the field of:
- Specialists in Bolted Connections
The accreditation applies to personnel performing and supervising the assembly of bolted joints in critical infrastructure pressure systems using manual and hydraulic torque wrenches.
